Treat yourself to a relaxing day on our farm on the mid-coast of Maine!
🌟🌟 This class is limited to four participants and a minimum of two to run the class. Pre-register with payment to hold your seat. Registered participants may cancel up to 72 hours prior to the class and receive a refund of total payment less a 10% processing fee. Please check our website for pictures of this fun 'make and take’ weaving class. No weaving experience required!! You WILL leave our farm with your very own alpaca rug to enjoy in the comfort of your home.
🌟🌟 All participants will enjoy a relaxing day on our farm with the alpacas, chickens, farmers and four participants. Each participant will make an alpaca rug approx 24” x 32”.
🌟🌟 You’ll be greeted in the morning with light refreshments and coffee/tea. Your loom will be all set up and ready for you when you arrive. All you have to do is choose which of our lovely alpacas’ yarn you’d like to use to make your rug! Lunch will be served on our screened in porch with our wood stove fire, with views of our alpacas and chickens. After you’ve completed your alpaca rug, you’ll be offered some cheese and crackers with a light beverage. Enjoy this relaxing day on our farm. Take a stroll on our farm at any time to stretch and visit with our alpacas. Bring warm clothes to enjoy the beauty of this holiday season!
🌟🌟 Costs cover all food, materials and instruction! Each participant will choose their own variegated alpaca bump to work with in order to weave their rug.
🌟🌟More Information: This class is a wonderful way to relax and enjoy some down time. Work at your own pace. No experience needed to make your own alpaca rug or lap blanket with our alpacas' farm raised, milled in Maine, chunky bump yarn! Visit our website to see some of the previous participant's rugs and fun. The class is only open to four participants which makes this a great way to share some time within a small group of people all weaving and learning together. Share in conversations or set yourself up to work in a mindful peaceful setting with your own loom. All of my prior participants have been unexperienced with peg looming, and ALL participants have successfully created their own alpaca rug.
🌟🌟A bit about your instructor: I have 30 years educational teaching experience with all kinds of learners. I value the different ways each individual learns. I have eleven years experience working with alpaca fiber. My studio was designed to bring the farm and nature indoors with tall windows to let the eyes wander toward the alpacas and spruce and fir woodland. Working with alpaca yarns and fiber in our woodland setting / alpaca farm is my happy place! I am grateful to be where I am and to share it with you!
🌟🌟Please contact me to set up a date or, if our class is full and you would like to be put on a waiting list or if you have any further questions. Thank you.
