Cape Newagen's Umberto
Born 10.5.18
Sire: Zepherson's Tornado Warning
Dam: Viola of Red Ghost
Sire: Zepherson's Tornado Warning
Dam: Viola of Red Ghost
Bert was born in October and was the youngest of all three cria sired by Tornado Warning in 2017, born in 2018. He has very dense fiber and is carrying his sire's long staple length! He was a big hit on our farm for our visitors in 2018 and 2019. He hangs with his half brother, Max and is happy to be a member of the male paddock where he enjoys protecting the chickens at night. Bert will stay out under the spruce trees during a snow storm since his fleece is so dense he does not realize the dampness of the falling snow. His fiber is a lovely medium fawn with a shine to it that has delighted knitters creating soft next to skin knitwear.

Sire: LAF Inevitable
Dam: Ante Up's Ramblin Rose
Jackpot is continuing his sire's legacy with a very fine fleece under 20 microns, bundles and dense. He has his dam's long staple length which adds to the quantity of fiber he produces yearly. His last yardage of the 2020 shearing came back with just over 2,000 yards of yarn from his blanket fiber which is sent to the mill. He carries himself as a herdsire among his herd mates. He brought home a 2nd place ribbon from two national alpaca shows in 2019. He continues to produce a very sweet yarn and has just as sweet a disposition when held and groomed. Check out his yarn in our gift shop!
