Our Mill Spun in Maine Alpaca Yarns
All of our yarns are spun in Maine at a local mill and grown on our farm.
The weight is 2 ply DK unless noted on the specific alpaca. Mill spun is a more consistent process therefore creating a product that is pleasantly balanced. These yarns are soft and luscious! Price is based on yardage and micron, which is the level of softness from the particular alpaca's fiber. A typical skein wound on my winder/counter is in increments of 82 yards. (82x3=246) You may use needle sizes 4-9.
New this year I decided to have the mill skein up my yarns! I will post them by the year 2023 and the name of the alpaca. Each skein is 200 yards unless noted, as I made a few 100 yard skeins for the crafter who wants to purchase less!
Contact us for more information and how we can personalize your alpaca yarn from our farm. Know where your yarns come from!
